Hello,
I'm trying to find some information on the vh-11 hi-hat as there are not any reviews that I can find.
I have a hart dynamics now but having some triggering issues with it. I have the td-12 roland brain though and love the sounds. Anyway The vh-11 I think would fit my needs..the vh-12 looks good though to.
Any info would be very helpful
Thanks

Hi Brian,

The major benefit of the VH-12 over the VH-11 relates to when to hi-hat is in the closed position.

With the VH11 connected to a TD12 module, it is possible to set the hi-hat closed position in two ways.

The first sounds like an acoustic hi-hat which is closed but where the cymbals are not tightly compressed together. The second sounds like they are compressed tightly together.

Using the VH-12, it is possible to play it so that it sounds closed but not compressed, and then gradually toe down on the pedal and it gradually compresses the cymbals together. This give far more control over the sound.

For me, if I could afford it, I would always opt for the VH-12.

Regards

John

Thanks John
It is a good chunk of change for the Vh-12. Which one do you have?
