I recently bought a Roland GI-20 and have been trying to install it on my Windows XP system. Everything installs fine, but I can't seem to find the "Roland GI-20 MIDI IN" on any of my programs. I checked the device manager and when I check the properties under "MIDI devices and instruments" it says Driver is enabled but not functioning properly. What does this mean? What can I do to fix this? Thank you.

Try downloading this small application. ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/ProductSupport/DownloadsAndUpdates/Clean_All.zip
It is designed to remove all midi drivers from your system. Obviously after running it you will need to reinstall all your midi drivers for each device you use, but this can often clean up your system and stop different midi drivers conflicting.
