V-Piano Music Stand

Hi,

I recently purchased a V-Piano and am generally very pleased with the product.
However, I have one problem which is that there is no provision for a stand for holding sheet music / music books. As a stage piano, I would guess that this has been omitted for aesthetic reasons, in order to preserve the clean lines of the V-Piano, but all it would have needed was a groove in the top of the piano into which a music stand could be slotted or removed as required (similar to the old EXR-7s that I had).

A traditional standalone music stand with tripod style base is not an appropriate solution as this would have to stand behind the KS-V8 stand and pedals module which are directly behind the back of the chassis, meaning I would need to squint to see the music.

I now find myself struggling to implement a makeshift solution to this problem, which seems ridiculous after spending £5k on an instrument!

Can you suggest a good solution to this? Ideally something that can be attached to the instrument for stability and capable of supporting an A4 book. If there is no good solution, would Roland consider producing an accessory that fits this demand as there are sure to be others with the same requirements.

Kind regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I'm afraid we don't currently product an accessory that would fulfil your requirements. I've passed your comments onto the keys product manager and he'll pass them back to Roland Japan.

Hello
I would like to learn to play Piano / Organ.

A) Can someone suggest a good or dvd for learning to read music
B) My plan is to purchase an electric keyboard, as this would be the most compact and private (headphones so as not to annoy the neighbors) way to practice. Is the keyboard a bad way to start learning (in terms of later being un-used to the weight of piano keys, organ stops, etc.)
C) Can you share your thoughts on good beginner keyboards? (Number of Keys, Keys with weight / responsive to weight of my playing, etc.?)

I figure my budget to be about $ 350 for the keyboard and a book / dvd or two.
Thanks!
