Being as the Roland RPC 1 R BUS interface card is no longer available.
Does anyone know where one might be sourced ? Or is there another card that could be used to connect to the R BUS socket on my VS2480.
regards

You seem to have luck on your side..
As another R-bus ink has appeared on ebay. It's a Roland card (so don't expect any 64 bit drivers for Vista or Win 7).
Slightly more than the M-Audio card, but appears to have the link lead too.

beam it up now

Would appear to be XP & win 2000. So not great if you plan to go to Vista or above..

Mac wise, and other useful info:

Downloading the manual might also help.

If you paid for the item on ebay with paypal or credit card you should be covered.

I used paypal and a credit card, so it's just a case of the postal strike
to worry about. Thanks for the links I will check them out.
I intend to install the RPC 1 on a new pc Using Cubase 5 and sticking with XP
as it has been fine on my old system using Cubase 2.The main reason for changing
is that my old motherboard didn't have PCI express sockets and I have a Universal
UAD 1e powered plugins card I long to try.
You've been a great help !! cheers.

Drivers for the Maudio Delta R-Bus card work with RPC1. Try the Maudio website for an updated driver.

I just checked their website myself and found that they have a 32bit windows Vista driver. This may work better for you. Unfortunately it was listed under the 'legacy' tab, so it is likely they have now dropped future support of these cards.

There are other companies now doing R-bus supported interfaces such as the Presonus V-Fire. This can take 2xR-Bus cables (16 channels simultaneous) into a single firewire connection.

This is the 32bit driver for Vista sp2.

I have noticed that MAudio have created windows & drivers for all other delta series audio cards, and as this is a delta series, it may be worthwhile contacting them to see if they will make a driver for it.

If that is the case, then I'm afraid you will have to downgrade your operating system back to windows XP or Vista. It does not look like their will be a new driver on the market. The RPC1 card was discontinued now over 6 years ago, so it is unlikely that Roland will do a new driver. Sorry.
