Is there anybody out there in the UK with a functioning S-50 keyboard sampler for sale? My old one conked out several years ago and I chucked it out (What an idiot!), and now I suddenly need to recreate some old songs I worked on in the 90's, and even though I've got the wonderful Chicken Systems Translator it's just not the same as driving the sounds through those great Roland filters.

Also... am I right in remembering that the S-750 would read S-50 disks? Maybe that would do, so anyone with an S-750, either?

Got my fingers crossed here!

I haven't one for sale, but I can confirm that the S-750 / 770 will import sounds from the S-50.
I would guess the S-760 would as well, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for that, S-E-A. I'll cast my net a little wider. Am I right in thinking that the W30 might read S-50 disks, tones, patches etc?

Also, I've got a couple of wonderful Roland System 100 modules, the 101 Synthesiser and the 102 Expander, both in very good working order, except for one minijack socket which needs replacing. What do these typically change hands for nowadays?

Hi Pete,

After visiting a few sites, it appears the W-30 can read & write to S-50 disks.

Regarding the System 100 modules.. specialist stuff. Not going to be bought buy Mr Joe Average.
A quick trawl thorough ebay it appears they might be worth a bob or two.
The auctions I've seen any way, but will they actually sell?
