Ive been having a really annoying problem with my Edirol PCR-500 keyboard...
When ever I try to use the midi learn function in cubase/reason/Massive it will not lock to just one pot/slider... It will initially work with the desired pot/slider but then it does not lock to it. As soon as I try and assign something else and move a different pot/slider the midi learn starts to control that one aswell/instead.. this makes it impossible to set up multiple sliders or pots for different parameters within the software and i cannot work out what ive done or what i need to do to rectify this problem.
Does anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

Thanx for any replies

30 views and not even a suggestion...!?

Ive noticed now that the midi reports CC16 no matter what pot i use and CC17 for what ever slider i try.. no idea why all 8 pots and all 8 sliders are reporting the same CC respectively.

I have the exact same issue with my PCR-800! I have no idea why it acts this way... Please, can anyone help?

my configuration:

Cubase 6 (but the same issue used to happen in Cubase 4 as well)
Windows 7 64 bit (before on WinXP SP2 with same issue)
Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard

I've been looking around the web, and I haven't found any workaround for this issue. It seems that the PCR series is no good for using the midi learn function as provided with countless plugins!! The only workaround seems to be to create your own CC map. Now I am perfectly capable, even willing to go through this extra trouble, but the manuals of plugins that offer a 'midi learn' function don't ever bother to mention which CC controls which parameter. After all, why should they, when there is midi learn?
