Hi, i aquired a HD-1 from someone second hand at the weekend there. Got it home and had a little play of it for 10 mins just to see how the kit sounded. I noticed thaat the Right pedal/bass drum pedal, when used is VERY low and sometimes fails to trigger a sound.
I am unsure weather this is a sensitivity setting needing tweaked or a component inside the pedal needing replaced.
You can see a very big difference when you play the kit with the double bass pedals. The left one is very clear and the right one, as i said, is very low and sometimes doesnt trigger a sound.
I think this plea for help has also appeared on the V-Drum forum has it not?
Sounds if it's second hand for a reason.
There's no individual pad sensitivity, it's global, so that's shot that idea down.
At a guess it sounds as if the previous owners have been a bit heavy handed (or rather heavy footed) and have possibly damaged the trigger sensor in the right hand pedal.
It hay be a replaceable part.
If it was my money, I would have a peek inside, but that's just me.
It is porbably a break in the cable in my opinion. It may not be completely disconnected, but shorting somehow. The HD1 is very sturdy and would put up with quite a bit of abuse.
