I must admit that I find the midi implementation on the SPD-SX to be sub-standard.

I talked my drummer into purchasing it to trigger samples and it DOES do that in spades... however... he wants to be able to modulate the decay of some of the samples with velocity so that they can sound all the more organic.

Furthermore, he wanted to be able to adjust pitch with a pedal (ala Tympani). These did not seem like out of the ordinary requests given a standard midi implementation.

My objective was not to complain, but simply ask if there is any rumor regarding a firmware update.
