Does anyone know whether the GK3 pickup will work if I put it on a resonator guitar?

Its not the greatest resonator of all time i know but i just love the way it looks. I actually play bass in an extreme death metal band but we've decided to add some electronic noise and sounds to our music and I'm wanting to control them from a guitar rather than a keyboard coz i suck a keys. Ive tried the GK3B before put i found it a little limiting being on a bass so now i want to try it on a guitar. The reason for a resonator is that I'm also wanting to send the resonator signal through a synthesizer and use a bottleneck to get weird quarter tones, should be fun, but if the GK pickup won't work on it then its not really worth it.
If anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate a response.
