I have just bought an HPi-7F digital piano and bought it by simply trying it as a piano where the piano sound and feel is superb.
The model has some great sounds, but the software navigation leaves a lot to be desired if you wish to play a live presentation, changing tones and or rhythms. Firstly the soft pedal is programmable to operate a stop/start which is good. However it only stops / starts a song that is playing. Surely when playing a rhythm instead of a song, the pedal should stop / start the rhythm, but NO it is necessary to lift your hand from the keyboard and find a small button (B). To make matters worse, if you wish to (say) change the piano tone whilst playing in order to add variation to the performance, the button B does something else, so it is IMPOSSIBLE to stop or start the rhythm unit when the tone panel is on the screen.
Lastly if you wish to change a rhythm speed, then as soon as you leave the Rhythm section to change something else then it loses the speed setting which you have set and returns to the default. This is very irritating.
Am I missing something or is this a serious oversight in the software design?

It sounds like all complaints, but there are MANY SUPERB features to this piano.
