Is the FP-3 multi timbral? How many instruments will it play at once if being signaled by a sequencer?

I'm not too sure it is..

The factory default setting for MIDI sending (and I assume receiving) is MIDI ch 1.
This can be changed to any of the 16 MIDI channels available.

That said;
If the keyboard is split, the left hand is sent out on MIDI ch 3.
If playing 'drum tones' is uses MIDI channel 10.

Does this work while playing back from a sequencer? (your original enquiry)
I have a feeling the answer is no.

It's primarily a Electric Piano.. It can function as a MIDI controller.
If you need multi-tambralrility (if I've spelt that right) then a sound module may well be required.
