I am thinking of buying a cube 20x or 30x to use as a practice amp for my accoustic 5 string G banjo.

I also want to use the rec / phones socket to use as an output to my groups PA amp.  Does anyone have experience of using the output to connect to PA amps?

Also, does anyone have experience of using a cube for accoustic instruments.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hate to put a damper on things, but:

If you plug into the record / phones output, it cuts off the speaker. Not that useful in when using it live.
You would have to go the ol’ DI box route.

Personally if it’s for Banjo, I think the one of the acoustic guitar amplifiers (AC series) would be better suited to your needs.
The Cube series is an electric guitar amp, hence the ‘clean’ and ‘distortion’ channels. Would you ever need distorted banjo?
