Hi everyone.
Just tried out my new SP-555 yesterday, and created some samples.
When using the bpm-tap button before recording, I set the right bpm, usually 130 for electronic music.
However, when I record, using a perfect beatmatching, the sample is either always cutoff early, or the bpm-number is different from the original bpm.
Now I found out that the longer the sample, the bigger the difference.
For example, I created a long sample (around 29 seconds), and the original bpm was 130 (I let a good friend listen, who's been dj'ing for over 20 years, and assured me it was 130bpm, he hears it right away), and the SP-555 showed me 120 bpm, which simply isn't right.
It must be a timing problem, since I can sequence a pattern using samples which are at the right bpm, it goes on in sync, but the sample is cutoff early so it sounds real bad.
Why is this happening?
When using sequencing software, I always use full samples at a set bpm, and it sounds perfect.
I hope someone could help me out here.
Also some tips would be nice.
Thanks in advance.
