Hello
I bought my Roland Juno Di in May this year (2010) and it's great, everything works fine. Just the headphone socket seems to send only to the left stereo channel. Any ideas on what might be wrong? I tried different headphones, but no made no difference.

cheers

Hello Sean,

Sounds like you need to call Roland, and get it fixed under warranty.
They might just tell you to return it to the store you bought it from.

At least you've tried different headphones on it.

I spoke to the vendor and they said they would have to send it off for repair to Roland. And it might take 4 weeks. So not much use to me (I was hoping they might give me a replacement!). I guess I'll just have to put up with it, unless anyone has some DIY hints...

If it wasn't still under warranty I would say have a look at the solder on the connection to the PCB of the headphone socket.
As it is under warranty, as soon as you remove a screw your warranty is invalid.

Options;

1) Ask the vendor to send it to repair, but point out you need a temp replacement while it's away, even if it's the shops own demo machine.

2) Invest in a small headphone amp or small mixer plugged into the line outs of the Juno.
