Hi guys, I'm Jimbo from Andover in Hants. UK.

Just blown the dust off my Roland GR-20 and find that the 4th string output is intermittent.
It always was a little suspect from new but never a real nuisance so I put up with it. Now it's very flakey.
I've done several factory resets and string sensitivity settings. It works for a while then suddeny nothing.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thank you.

The problem might be with the cable, try wiggling it near the connector, and try swapping ends around.

Thanks, Gumtown. Just tried that. Made no difference. Also did a pin to pin check with a multimeter and the cable is sound.

grin Hi guys, just for your interest, I've managed to cure my GR-20 probs. I took a small flat bladed screwdriver and gently rocked the 4th string pickup pole and hey presto! It's now working a treat.

Thanks for your interest.
