Hey!! smile

I've been looking to move on from the Yamaha PSR series and have decided to buy a Roland. But i just can't decide between an E 09 and a Juno D.

Could someone please help me out! I'm into composing and use recording softwares to edit/record music onto my computer.

I'm inclined to the E 09 for its richer library and supposedly better sounds.
The Juno D however has a USB port which makes it all the more attractive.

Can i go for the E 09 and still continue recording at a good quality?? or will the Juno D be better?

Help!

Also, if there's anything in this Range from Roland that can be more suitable, kindly advise.

Anything with a huge sound base. Especially better synth pads, strings and as authentic as possible guitar and sax sounds.

Thank you!

Just because there is 21 views, doesn't mean there has been 21 people viewing it..
I think this is the 3rd time I've been here, I wanted to see the response, but it was you adding a question, and now a comment..

I know nothing about the E 09, so much so I didn't even know it existed.
If you know and understand 'arrangers' then perhaps the E 09 is ideal for you.. Arrangers baffle me.
The D (and Di) will not doubt sound good, but they will not have the 'backing' you are perhaps used to.
The USB connectivity might be useful to you, but a USB-to-MIDI interface isn't too expensive.

If the arrangement isn't important, then the D(i) might just be what you are looking for..

An Alternative?
Keep the Yamaha as a controller keyboard, add a new source of sound via a module, perhaps the SonicCell, or perhaps the new Mobile Studio Canvas?

What's the backing you are talking about here??

And are the sounds of Juno Di impressive? I can't really tell if the review videos I've been seeing are enhanced in some way or not.

Something that allows for decent recording and an awesome sound library and quality would be just fine. I would actually have already bought the E 09, but the slightly more priced Di caught my eye. I just wanna know if there's any substantial addition apart from the USB? And any much difference in the sound??

Much thanks! smile

On arrangers the left hand can generate various instrumentation such as bass, drum, and chord parts.
The Juno's are synths...

If a keyboard with lots of sounds on offer is what you are after, then I think my money might be heading towards the Juno Di.
128 note poly, over 1000 patches and the GM patches to boot.. and only a little more than the Juno D.

I wouldn't mind betting the E 09 is a Juno D when you dig under the skin. It has a different OS, and there appears to be a on board sequencer too, plus speakers.

Think it's worth downloading the manuals of the E 09, D, and Di check out what features, and tones appeals the most.
