i am using a boss gt3 in manual mode, with each pedal as a seperate effect.
I am then running this from the left ( mono) output of the gt3 into the input of my amplifier.
My question is this;
If i switch the utility mode to a "line output " does it mean I can use the right output of the gt3 direct into a mixer , thereby engaging the onboard speaker simulator .
This would then mean I wouldnt have to mic up the amp.
Does this make sense ?

yes that is correct, your guitar amp would need some EQ adjustment if you use this as well with the Speaker sims enabled, and you would most likely use the GT-3 preamps for P.A. use too..
