Need help with gt-10 parallel chain fx.
Pre-amp set to send channel a and b. I want chorus on channel a, but not on channel b.
In the fx chain set up I moved the chorus icon up to the top chain branch for channel a and saved the patch. But chorus remains on for both channel a and b even though I moved to reside on channel a. I guess I'm doing something wrong, or missing a setting somewhere.

Do you have both preamps enabled by selecting "Dual L/R" mode, which will output them to the seperate channels.
Editing might be easier with this free GT-10 graphical patch editor http://gtx.tinfoilmusic.net/

Let me try that. Thanks.

Also, I am looking to run the gt-10 against a valve power amp, so that I rely completely on the gt-10's pre-amp modelling. What advise would you give on the choice of valve power amp, and the minimum requirement of the power amp to successfully be driven by the gt-10.
Thx

Hi,

OK I tried dual L/R setting. Still no good. This setting enabled channel A and B simultaneously in the patch, but still don't get one set of effects on channel A and a different set on channel B. I wonder if my unit is faulty? Everything else works as it should....
Appreciate any other suggestions.

Sorry. What i meant was, check that only one channel is in use at one time, and make sure it is NOT set to Dual Mix or Dual L/R.
Only one channel l.e.d. on the GT-10 should be up at one time for toggling between channels.
I don't think the GT-10 would be faulty, other ways around the problem are to use the same channel switching button to turn the chorus on/off by the use of the Assigns, that same button/footswitch can do up to 8 things at the same time.(but i does not fix your original issue though).

How is your GT-10 connected/wired to your other equipment?

Dude, thx for your reply. I now have the answer. It has been working all along.
What threw me is when switching channels I expected the fx lights to toggle on and off accordingly which it doesn't. Because they don't flash on/off with the chan select I just assumed it wasn't working.
The two effects were too subtle to hear the difference.
What a prat.
Anyway thx again.
