Hi, I'm totally new to effects pedals so please take that into account, the question I'm about to ask is very noob I'm sure. I've just purchased a Boss ME-25, my friend has told me to use output L(Mono) to connect to my amp which I've done but what is the difference between that and using output R. Does it make any difference which one you use?

Your friend is correct..

Some of the ME-25's patches and set-ups will be using stereo algorithms.
If you plugged in just the right hand side, you would only get half the sound you would expect.
The chorus would seem to come and go, for example.

The Left / Mono socket sums the 2 outputs together, so you hear both channels, but you will get a little cancellation now and again.
When both Left and Right are used (into two amps, or a stereo guitar amp) you get the works..

You can experiment, by just plugging it into the right, the effect (see what I did there) will be subtle, but you should be able to just notice it.

Thanks for such a quick answer smile that totally answers my question, I've only got one amp at the mo so I will leave it in the L(Mono) for now. I'm new to multieffects pedals so got a lot of playing about to do, there just seems like endless settings at the moment but think I will just stick to the standard library for now.
