Hi,

I started searching instrument definition files for my Roland E-60 to my Sonar LE. I found nothing. :(

Where can I get these files to import patch list to my Sonar?

Thanks in advance

Tricky one.. not my field of expertise..

You can create your own instrument definitions:

http://www.cakewalk.com/support/docs/instrumentdef.asp

However, I scanned though the E-50/60 manual, and didn't find a patch list as such.
I know arrangers call them 'registrations', but I didn't see any list as such.
Perhaps the GM/GS map would be a reasonable place to start?

The synth's patch list isn't in the manual, i found it in an another PDF file. The problem with it is: The patches got a PC, a CC0 and a CC32 command.

Now I use the synth, with GS map, and it works az well, but the workstation has a lot of special tones, for example: "DistMuted".

Thatks for your help about INS file creating link. smile

Well all might not be totally lost.

You could 'cut & paste' the patch names to their receptive patches in the definition list.
CC 0 & 32 are the bank select messages.

If you have a link to the pdf file I might be able to suss it out. (might being the word here)

So, the patch list is here: http://www.roland.co.uk/assets/media/pdf/E-60_50_PA.pdf .

I solved the problem, I got the Roland SC-8850's .INS file, and it contains most of E-60's patches.

Glad you managed to find a solution that worked. A creative solution. Nice one.
