Hi guys,

Very tempted in a Boss GT10 unit, heard some awesome things about, but I have a question...What amp?

I believe Mikael from Opeth uses one of these with a Laney GH100L (I assume he turns the preamp off on the GT10) would that be something you guys reccomend? I just dont want to buy a head thats too expensive when i won't be utilizing anything from it other than the clean sound.

I mainly play heavy metal.

They're good units. I use one with either an Engl Steve Morse head and cab or a Mesa Boogie Mark V combo, dependant on the size of the gig, both in four cable mode.

I use the GT10s' midi to channel switch on the Engl or the "amp control'" relay to switch between clean and channel three on the MkV. I may go for an RJM Amp Gizmo to midi up the MkV at some point.
