Hi i am not new to the digital piano scene because i have been using a controller piano when working with my D.A.W Fl Studio for nearly 2 years but recentley i have been looking for a step up and i have been looking at the new Roland GAIA SH-01. I have seen the info videos on you tube, it explained alot and i was getting lured in. But i have a question the GAIA has something like 64 presets that you can change into different sounds but how many other sounds are possible to make when working with this product??. It would be massively helpfull if it had a Vst software to work with my D.a.w but if not thats fine. Also if someone could piont out maybe a better solution that would be great.
I guess it's because it's only just been announced, the videos you've seen are demo / prototype models.
No one has actually bought one yet, so how can anyone answer your question? Guess we will have to quess..
I bet some of the magazines (Sound-On-Sound, Future Music, and the like) haven't reviewed it yet.
Plus you haven't given a great amount of time for people to respond either - patience is a virtue.
So what digital pianos have you been playing, an V-piano, RD-700SX?
The Sonic State review goes into great detail, explaining that there's a hidden GM/GS synth engine within the SH01, but you need a controller keyboard to access it.
