Hi there,
I have recently bought a AC 90 acoustic amp and am playing a Washburn acoustic which came with a B band A3 model pickup already installed.
The problem is I have a really loud hiss constantly coming from the amp when I plug the guitar in, it is lessened if I turn down the treble on the guitar I dont know whether its something Im doing or if I need something else between the guitar and amp ?
It is not a problem with the amp as when I plug in my electric guitar there is no hiss at all.

Aside from that the acoustic sound quality is astounding I have never heard an acoustic sound so natural through an amp, its just that constant hissing....

There could be a fault with the pickup and possible grounding issues with the guitar and I suggest taking the guitar to a guitar service engineer. Another suggestion is by using an ‘Isolator’, this is a small device that removes grounding hiss from a signal, normally this is used with PA system but might do the trick is there is no fault detected with the pick up. Isolator boxes are available from Maplins or Studio Spares.
