Many thanks
TD3 sound cuts out

The sound on my TD3 cuts out in the middle of playing. It's not a complete cut out - if I hit the pads really hard and have the volume jacked, I can still (kinda) hear it. It seems to be linked to when I get really into it and hit the pads harder than I was. It usually requires a bit of a break before it'll start working normally again (sometimes an unplug and re-plug will do the trick).

Any ideas what's causing this? Is there a setting that should be lowered?

I have no experience with electronic drums so I'm at a complete loss. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

I appreciate this is may be an old question but I recently bought a second hand TD9KX set etc and then discovered it was possible to upgrade the software to a version 2.

Does anyone know how/where to get this for a uk based user as I would really like to do this. I see its possible for US based users but can't seem to find much out for a uk user.

Any advice on the best to way to achieve this would be much appreciated.

Thank for your time in advance!
Wave Manager does not see SPD-SX hardware

Hi,

I have tried using the SPD-SX Wave Manager on a Macbook Pro and on a Windows 7 system. The problem that occurs on both systems is the following. When launching the Wave Manager software, the SPD-SX does not appear in the 'select storage' dropdown list. This happens in spite of installing the driver and Wave Manager in the correct manner. As things look now, I won't be able to use the Wave manager at all to load samples to the SPD-SX. My Mac knowledge is limited, but in Windows device manager the SPD-SX shows up without any problem. So if the device is installed correctly, how come it doesn't show up in the available storage places in wave manager?

Has anyone else experienced this? I am really stuck with this problem.

Using roland v drums to trigger software?

Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some advice on setting up an electronic kit to trigger samples such as Steven Slate. I had a TD3 a couple of years ago which I sold and have since been using real drums and cymbals but I would like the option of using an electric kit with samples so I am going to buy some Roland cymbals and triggers for the rest of the kit. I was thinking a VH-11, CY-13R and a CY-12C.

The problem is I am not sure what is the most important part of a good expressive e-kit. I'm assuming that the pads are the biggest factor. I will not be using any sounds from modules so I think it would be a waste to buy one. Do modules make a difference when you are triggering samples or will any midi I/O device do the same job?

Thanks.

SPD SX - MIDI IN + Pitch question

Hello

I want to use the SPD SX for live performance.
I have a few questions for SPD SX users / masters.

1. Can I plug in a midi controller keyboard to the SDP SX
a) via MIDI
b) via USB (so I dont need to power the keyboard externally)

2.
a) Can I pitch one sample across the keyboard like a regular sampler and have a bank of sounds on the pads?
b) Can I access multiple samples from the bank and apply them to midi triggers from the keyboard?

3. Can I set this all up for multiple banks?

4. How quickly can I change banks? Is there a loading time?

Im basically wanting to use the SPD SX as a sampler AND Percussion trigger.

Thanks

Hi guys.

Newbie alert.

Just acquired my new SPD30 which I'm busy programming for an upcoming show planned in May.

Really loving the pad! Great fun.

My question?

Is it poss to have different fx on each pad?
If so, could someone take me through the process ?

Many thanks.

SPD-S X Sending Midi Command Via Footswitch

Hey all,

Currently using an SPD-S X live with onboard sounds. What we'd like to do is send a midi trigger from the SPDS footswitch to a playback device, and still use the onboard sounds as usual from the pads. Is there a way to do this?

I've referred to the manual but can't find anything specific

Thanks,
