XV-5050 64 Bit Driver creation

Hey Guys! I just thought for anyone out there looking for a 64bit driver for the XV5050, Roland have made it clear they arn't making one, but I got fed up today of not having one as it was the only device holding my system back from being fully 64bit compatible and decided to investigate piggybacking another Roland Driver.

The good news is I managed to do it successfully! The driver I based it on is the Edirol SD-80 64bit driver and the Fantom-v 64 bit driver.

By comparing the above two drivers, I discovered all but 2 files were the same (but with different model numbers), so I decided to open up those two files and edit them to the XV5050's specifications, and managed to create a fully tested and working 64bit driver for this device!

I must make this clear for legal reasons. Although i programmed 2 files in this driver, the bulk of the files are property of Roland and that must not be forgotten. I hope the moderators can see past this self programmed driver in order to allow people to benefit from it who would have otherwise lost the use of this hardware.

pm me for more details!

TD6 connection to a PA

I have recently bought a used TD6 kit although I do not play drums and have got this purely as I run a music club here in Central France and provide a basic amount of equipment, replacing a previous acoustic kit that was often played too loud for the venue (sorry to all you drummers who like to play loud but it was a problem for the audience not me).
My question is about the output to my PA system via the jack output which appears a low volume output and needs the module on max volume and the amp cranked up.
Or do I have another problem?
Excuse me if my question my appear dumb and there is an obvious solution, but would a Jack to XLR connection be greatly better?
This is not really my thing as I am more into guitars and bass and know a great deal more about them.
Comments and advice greatly appreciated.
I would also appreciate any advice on a replacement power supply as I think is has seen better days.
Thanks

midi data vs midi audio is there a difference??

on my expansion card srx07 when you click on the extra patches(on the cd rom) that are from the older srjv80-08 series it says midi data, then when it gets converted it changes to midi audio, will this make a difference when transferring it to either a floppy disc? and or usb flash drive? for some reason when i did try to load it into my Fantom fa76 it doesn't show the change in the patches(its basically about 128 patches,

The SRX07 expansion card has extra sounds via the CD -rom that is included that i guess can be put on a floppy disc then loaded into the fantom via the floppy drive. but if the floppy drive is not working and or having problems is there a way via midi? and or usb flash drive? thanks

I recently bought a JUNO GI and am amazed there are no lists in the manual or anywhere else for all the sounds/programs/drums sounds/kits/effects etc?? I have tried to find them in the Roland site but cannot find them anywhere? I have also written to Customer support and await a reply but wondered if anyone had any ideas where I might be able to obtain such lists? I have had many Roland/Boss products in the past and there have always been lists of all those things.Indeed I have also owned other makes, keyboards, recorders, drum machines etc and they always supply lists too..??
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me..

Cannot uninstall quad-cature driver in Win7

I am using an external sound device, quad capture sound device that attaches via USB. I installed the win7_32 driver and it was working fine, then I tried to uninstall it, the directions said to go to control panel and remove the program, so I did. Then I tried to reinstall it and I get the message:

"UA-1EX Driver Ver.1.0.0

A problem may have occurred

To install the driver, please execute Uninstal.exe (located in the same folder as Setup.exe), and then execute Setup.exe once again."

I did that and I still get the same error. I checked the website for a driver update and downloaded the latest (same as I had) and tried uninstall again a dozen times. I uninstalled all other sound drivers that didn't come with Win7_32 and I still get this message.

I checked for traces of this program in control panel/sounds; all of the main programs that use this driver; and in the registry and found nothing; I also ran a search of the C: drive for the driver by name and only the installation driver came up. I
I don't know what else to try, but I really need this fixed.

New TD-30 vs TD-20

Hi

I just joined the forum and wondered why anyone hasnt put any comment on the new TD-30 or is that new that its just started to deliver?

Anyway, I used to have TD-9`s. Sold them and bought TD-12. Its some years now since I sold them and cant remember therefore which model, but anyway with mesh tom`s. So its been 3 years since I played last time Vdrums but would now like to start again.

Im little bit confused as there are late 2011 reviews of "new" TD-20SX in the states and there seems to be different models and bundles also. Is the SX = USA and KX = Europe or is the some other differences as well?

Anyway, Im drumming only for my own pleasure but do use a lot of "drum along" type of tracks and also did a lot of drumming by playing songs from PC and drummed on top of that. I wonder if there has been any improvement on that also, I mean, is there any way to get real music tracks with muted drums or is Roland or anyone else offering service that would offer song kits?

Im considering this: http://www.thomann.de/fi/roland_td_30k_v_drum_set_bundle.htm but at the same time

Why the hell is TD-12 model without even bundle almost the same price: http://www.thomann.de/fi/roland_td_12kx_mds_12x_v_drum_b_stock.htm

Please advice what to buy!
