Hi folks,
I was hoping someone could help me here. I'm needing a new left speaker for my Roland HP3-e digital piano. Had it for a good few years and it sounds to me like the speaker has blown: distorted bass when the volume is anywhere near the half way mark.

I can't find anything online. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good spares/parts distributor??

Cheers,

Michael

I have been offered a "Roland RD-150" for £250's. Which I will be selling my "Yamaha PSR e423" for the main difference being the 7 octave's instead of 5. And the hammer action keys instead of non boxed touch sensitive. I am wondering if this is the right move. As I no longer have a interest in playing keyboard music ie: midi, backing track. But prefer to play a peice just plain piano and other voice. Please can you post your thoughts on this.
Thanks In Advance

My Roland FP-7F is connected via USB (generic driver) to a computer running Win7/32 and Sonar X1. On the piano the setting for "Regist. Tx PC Ch." is set to OFF, but still program changes are send to the computer. Basically messing up my sound settings there whenever i change the sound on the piano. Using the USB original driver or even connecting the piano via the UM-1G midi interface does not resolve this issue. Quite annoying . I have none of these problems with my other midi keyboards. Does anybody have similar problems? Is this a known issue that maybe solved in future firmware updates? Currently i am running version 1.05. Thanks!

        Hi,

I was hoping to buy a HPi-6 however in the shop i noticed a hum coming from the power supply. This appears to be coming from the actual mains power unit and not from the speakers. Is this normal? I am worried how loud this will be in my quiet home environment. I was told it was not a faulty unit and was probably normal for these pianos - is this true? if so this is REALLY disappointing in a product costimg over £2K!

I played a gig new years eve, and the circuit board which holds the xlr outputs and the L and R outputs burnt out. When the jack touched the input jack, it set off a white spark, which in turn, must've burnt the board, cause i just took the keyboard cover off, and the board with the output jacks was brown and one particular spot was black.
I ordered another output jack board.
So my KR-4500 finally stopped working. I thought it was the capacitor problem that has been documented here, but I took it to the shop and they localized the problem to the CPU. Unfortunately the part is long out of production.

Is there anyone here who has the capacitor issue (or some other problem) with their KR-4500 and they weren't able to get it fixed? Since the CPU dying seems to be less common, if your KR-4500 died for some other reason the CPU is probably still good.

I would pay a reasonable price for it.

Thanks in advance.
