Hey guys,

basically ive recorded a few of my own tracks on the g8, but what i want to do is chop the tracks up like what people do with samples to make hip hop beats. once the track is chopped i think it is possible to assign the chopped segments of the track to the pads of the g8, but the thing is i have no idea how to do this. i really am a beginner and it would be great if someone could help me out with this

        Hi!

So I've got this XV 88 keyboard, but I'm having a hard time controlling my VST's with it. I've got a midi-usb converter going to my pc.

I've tried a lot of settings and a couple of factory resets as well, but all it will do is send one midi key at a time. So if I press C4 I hear C4 from my VST, but when I press C4 and G4 simultaneously, I only hear one of them.

Does anyone know how I can solve this annoying problem??

Thank you!

Hi there, I've just got hold of a Juno Stage and have been saving up preferred sounds in the Favourties banks. However, I've noticed many sounds vary greatly in output gain - for example, Crummy Organ gives much less output next to HardRockOrgan1. As a novice with this kind of thing, I was hoping to set them all to more or less the same volume. Is there an easy way to achieve this?

I have been using a Roland XV 5050 in my live rack for about 4 years but have only recently bought a 60s & 70 Ultimate keys card. I am having trouble loading any of the files..I have backed up my old USER Bank, but want to try and then load A FEW files from the SRX Bank....but cant seem to get anywhere???
Secondly I want to run the XV5050 via the usb port to XV Edit...XVEdit is on the PC, but it keeps asking for the disc that came with the XV5050 (lost somewhere ages ago) ...any wisdom on this one anyone?

I currently own a Fantom G8 which is an absolutely fantastic keyboard !!
I also own an old 76 note Roland D70 which in it's day was another fantastic keyboard !! When I went to play my D70 a few weeks ago I found that the keyboard had stopped working below the middle split(No sound !) The keyboard is absolutely mint condition and I would love to get it working again !
Can anyone tell me if there is any type of support for the D70? Or am I better to just try and find a very good electronics engineer?

Hi. I currently play midi backing track songs on my Roland E60 and would like to use the midi songs to select a User Program or sounds for a keyboard part. This way I can create a play list of several songs, and as the next song is automatically loaded, the keyboard sound is also set and I can play along. Thanks
I have just got an XP-80 and need to hook it up to Cubase 2 SX running on a PC. I have got the MIDI in working via an EDIROL UM-1SX but have a couple of questions...

1) How do I get Cubase to trigger the XP-80 from midi recordings in Cubase as the MIDI out port appears not to be active &
2) Is there a XML file to import into the MIDI device manager?

Cheers!

        Hi

I've attempted to install a 1 Gig Dimm expansion today, purchased from a site recommended on the roland clan forum. It is i belive as specified in the user manual and was clicked home fine. After install the Fantom G freezes at the logo page indefinitely.

I'm running on OS version 1.5. I've noticed on Roland Clan that others have been suffering the same issue recently. Does anybody have a suggestion for a way forward? I guess I could check the module at a shop if they'd let me? Or is it an issue with 1.5?
