The vguitarforums have a wealth of info on the GR-55 and other Roland synths and masses of patches. But I\when I submit my user info to join the forum, there's no response.

gumtown, do you have any idea what's happening over there?

Many thanks!

hi all, I'm new here and I am very happy to find you guys! just few days ago I bought a Boss ME25 and I love it. My problem is the power supply....just got one from Dick Smith, a regular power supply 100 -240 input / 9vDC output. It works, but I have unwanted noises....with battery, works just fine. The question is, if I buy the original one, PSA 240, I'll have the same problem, or it will work better than what I got now? thanks in advance for any answer!

        Hello,

I hope someone can shed a light for my issue here. I've recently purchased a Boss ME-25 and what i'm asking for isn't mentioned in the user manual. The device includes 60 built-in memories (or factory effects) and 60 user (or Library effects). After editing a specific sound in the SL, i save it by pressing "Write" and selecting the memory location to save that sound.

My Question is:

How can i save the new sound in the one of the 60 user defined memories? ... Whenever i save a sound, it overwrites one of the built-in sound and i don't want this to happen. I think the built-in sounds shouldn't allow me to overwrite on them in the first place or maybe i do something wrong..

Appreciate any help on this.

Thx

Hey there, i am trying to record MIDI with my VG-99 and i get double notes when doing so, one very short in the beginning, like 1/100 of the regular note, so it seems that the VG.99 accidentally puts an extra note there to scew with me =)
Anyways, i think i have configured the GK-3 mic properly and made the right settings within the VG-99.

I have an Epiphone Alleycat guitar, and i used the scewmount for the GK-mic.
I measured and spaced so i got about 1mm between the strings and the mic.

In the VG-99 i set the proper distance to from the middle of the microphones to where the strings lean on the saddle. 12.5mm, 11mm, 13mm etc etc.
I set the guitar scale lenght.
The GK pickup direction and phase, normal.
And now i have been trying different sesnitivities for the strings, from 2 to 40 and my best result was 8 for the strings.

So what can be causing this behaviour, i hope it´s not something i have to live with, because i got the VG-99 to produce music, since i am a poor pianist and a decent guitarist.

Thanks!

Just got my VB-99 and a very sweet piece of kit it is too.
Now i'd like to know, with the instrument setup as well as
it can be, what are we talking in terms of midi latency?

What kind of figures should i expect, or be aiming for? I've
been looking all over and can't find any ball park figures.

I know its a touchy subject and i accept that as a bass
processor, it is what it is. Certainly on the modelling
side, there's nothing which comes close to the vb99. All
the same I would still like to know how it stands up with
say a dedicated wal midi bass. Would a wal bass or the more
recent Industrial Radio bass be worth the extra investment?

I have bought a s/h GT8 which is great but after half an hour or so it "freezes" ie using the foot switches does not change the bank number up or down nor do any of the switches work.I can change the banks manually and if I switch it off and then on again the foot switches will work again for an other half hour.I am new to processors and I don't want to put this in for repair until I am familiar with it. Am i doing something wrong? any ideas?thanks
