Hi,

I want to use my GT-10 to control stage lighting. For example, when I play "clean" the stage lights are green, and when I switch to a next GT-10 patch for "overdrive solo" the lights turn blue and the strobe starts.

This can be achieved using, for example, the Ayra OSO 240B; a device that controls lighting through DMX, and can be controlled itself through MIDI. However, that control goes by MIDI notes. Extract from their manual:

MIDI NOTE FUNCTION (ON/OFF)
====================================
OO to 07 Scenes 1-8 in BANK 1
O8 to 15 Scenes 1-8 in BANK 2
120 Chase 1
126 BLACKOUT

Question: can the GT-10 send (pre-programmed) MIDI notes, and if so, how?

Or, should I achieve my goal some other way?

Thanks!
Raymond

        Hi there,

Is RC 300 capable of taking independent inputs (left/right) and sending an output independently to left and right channels, respectively.

For example: I would like to record two instruments into the RC 300 but have the outputs go to two independent sources, i.e. guitar 1 to guitar amp (left channel) & bass to bass amp (right channel), AND the whole thing to be recorded into the loop pedal with one click.

I am currently not an owner of the RC 300 and knowing about this feature would greatly influence my decision in purchasing the unit.

Thank you for your time!

Hi... I'm planning on purchasing the following combination of pedals, considering a possiblity to expand the funcionality of the looper pedal to a multiple channel operation... I've never found it discussed over the internet, that's why I am in doubt.. Would this work the way I see it?

Using a Boss Stereo Looper (considering either RC-3 or RC-30), with a Line Selector (LS-2) to take advantage of the separate left and right channels. On the following scheme:

GUITAR > (in) LS-2 (outA/outB) > (inA/inB) LOOPER (outA/outB) > (return A/B) LS-2 (out) > AMPLIFIER

Basically, I would use the line selector to feed phrases and playback the Right channel of the Looper only, and then eventually switch it to the Left channel, and have a whole blank loop channel to feed (would be the same length of the first, of course). This would make the looper much more practical to create a verse/chorus song scenario.. switching the LS-2 would be like switching between loop A(L, verse), and loop B(R, chorus) in only one stomp.

In different cases, without the LS, this would also prove possible to use two instruments, like guitar=A, voice=B, and have them sent and looping each to their own amplifier.

Is that a possibility? Do these loopers really offer two totally independent channels to record to, or is there some kind of mixing in playback? some mono detection and redistribution even with the four jacks set on it?

Has anyone tested something like it?

I appreciate any help on the subject.. thanks !

        Hi,this is my 1st post.
My gr-20 suddenly started to cycle through all of its effects nonstop.I can't get it to stop.It is not the pickup.I unhooked it.I tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.I even tried reseting it by holding down the Write button but it keeps on speeding through all those numbers like it is stuck somehow.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
