I have recently bought a used TD6 kit although I do not play drums and have got this purely as I run a music club here in Central France and provide a basic amount of equipment, replacing a previous acoustic kit that was often played too loud for the venue (sorry to all you drummers who like to play loud but it was a problem for the audience not me).
My question is about the output to my PA system via the jack output which appears a low volume output and needs the module on max volume and the amp cranked up.
Or do I have another problem?
Excuse me if my question my appear dumb and there is an obvious solution, but would a Jack to XLR connection be greatly better?
This is not really my thing as I am more into guitars and bass and know a great deal more about them.
Comments and advice greatly appreciated.
I would also appreciate any advice on a replacement power supply as I think is has seen better days.
Thanks

        Hi

I just joined the forum and wondered why anyone hasnt put any comment on the new TD-30 or is that new that its just started to deliver?

Anyway, I used to have TD-9`s. Sold them and bought TD-12. Its some years now since I sold them and cant remember therefore which model, but anyway with mesh tom`s. So its been 3 years since I played last time Vdrums but would now like to start again.

Im little bit confused as there are late 2011 reviews of "new" TD-20SX in the states and there seems to be different models and bundles also. Is the SX = USA and KX = Europe or is the some other differences as well?

Anyway, Im drumming only for my own pleasure but do use a lot of "drum along" type of tracks and also did a lot of drumming by playing songs from PC and drummed on top of that. I wonder if there has been any improvement on that also, I mean, is there any way to get real music tracks with muted drums or is Roland or anyone else offering service that would offer song kits?

Im considering this: http://www.thomann.de/fi/roland_td_30k_v_drum_set_bundle.htm but at the same time

Why the hell is TD-12 model without even bundle almost the same price: http://www.thomann.de/fi/roland_td_12kx_mds_12x_v_drum_b_stock.htm

Please advice what to buy!

The power adaptor for my SPD-s has stopped working and I need a replacement urgently.
Roland has advised that the current power adaptor is a 'PSB-1U', but I cannot get one immediately, as it has to be ordered and will take at least a week ( I need it by tomorrow). Is there a compatible alternative I can use temporarily?

        Hi,

Does someone knows if the Roland td-9 module sends Midi Beat Clock Messages???? I mean, when there's no signal, my USB midi Interface (a Midisport 2x2) shows some intermittent flashing lights like if there was signal coming from the TD-9, could it be midi beat clock messages???

Cheers!!!
Hi
Just found this forum so I'm new here.
I have a TD4, and what a fantastic bit of kit it is. I was wondering what the preference is for triggering software in Logic. I have a copy of BFD1 and that seems ok, a small bit of latency, but what other plug ins are out there?
I'd love to hear anyone's opinions. I've heard that BFD2 is far better?
Hoping someone can help.

My drummer has a set of Roland V-drums (HD-1) and they are great for recording demo stuff but I now want to use them to record in midi and subsequently trigger actual drum samples using a sampler in pro tools.

I have midi cables but my issue is that because there is only one midi out port on the v drums, I'm not sure if it is possible to seperate each drum on the v drums and assign them to correspond to the relevant drum in the sampler.

I appreciate that the v drums just acts as a trigger for the midi sample but just want to know if it is even possible to seperate out each drum?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

        Hey every1,

I've just been recording my drumming on my roland tdk, and all the sound files on my usb say .td9
from what ive read so far is that it's impossible to listen to those on everything except roland electronic drum kits... Is this true? or is there some kind of converter? so that you can listen to those files on your pc as well?

otherwise, id like to ask roland if they could publish some sort of td9 convertion program. I don't know if this is possible for them, but im sure quite a lot of people would like to see that.

thnx,
Hello,

I want to use mixed set up.

Firstly; i want to use acoustic and also v-drums together.

Apart from this i want to get different sounds by connecting trigger to natural drum.

Accourding to my researchs i saw that i can connect trigger and v drums by using TMC-6 .

But there is not souncd effect on TMC-6. How can i solve this ?

1)The answer is to use a computer programme behind TMC-6?
a) Then what kind of programme should i use?
b) If i want to use a notebook, should i use Mac or PC?
2) Or the answer is to use a different instrument except TMC-6?

I must admit that I find the midi implementation on the SPD-SX to be sub-standard.

I talked my drummer into purchasing it to trigger samples and it DOES do that in spades... however... he wants to be able to modulate the decay of some of the samples with velocity so that they can sound all the more organic.

Furthermore, he wanted to be able to adjust pitch with a pedal (ala Tympani). These did not seem like out of the ordinary requests given a standard midi implementation.

My objective was not to complain, but simply ask if there is any rumor regarding a firmware update.

Thanks in advance.
